Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) started as an industrial training institution in 1992-1993. The Institute decided to open its doors for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in 1997. Due to this, courses such as Engineering, Management and Computer Applications were introduced. KIIT introduced the School of Law, Biotechnology, Medical Sciences, Dental Sciences, Nursing, Mass Communication and many more in 2007. It is now recognised as a private institute offering Doctorate, UG and PG-level courses.
