Goa Medical College (GMC), Panaji was established in 1842. It is Asia’s oldest medical college. GMC Panaji is an affiliated college of Goa University, Taleigao Plateau, Goa. The college was renamed as Goa Medical College in 1963. The college provides courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. GMC Panaji courses cover MBBS, B.Sc, BPT, BOT and B.Optom programmes at the UG level, MD, MS and PGD programmes in various specialisations at the PG level and an M.Ch programme in Neurosurgery at the doctoral level.
